Chinese is the one of the hardest working people in the world. And we love money!
During CNY, Chinese will take a big break to celebrate the past hard working days and wish for a prosperous new year. We say 恭喜发财and get a lucky packet with FAT money inside.
We may show our kids videos or let them practice saying the Chinese for thousands of times. and they are going to forget. Instead we manage to work with the local Chinese community, bring kids to the stage, give a performance, work hard and get rewarded with big bonus. This is what people do during the CNY season back in China. And we do the same here in the island of Japan. Kids are learning by doing. Once experienced, One would remember for the rest of his life. We immerse into the culture and become the culture itself.
